Fellowship in Neuroplastic and Reconstructive Surgery

• Must have completed an accredited residency in Neurosurgery or Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (or equivalent)
• Must hold an MD / DO or equivalent medical degree
• Should be board-certified or board-eligible in Neurosurgery or Plastic Surgery
• Must have strong training/background in microsurgery, nerve repair, or reconstructive techniques
• Must be eligible for medical licensure in Maryland (USA)
• For International Medical Graduates (IMGs):
• ECFMG certification required
• Eligibility for visa sponsorship (commonly J-1 visa)
• Demonstrated interest in neuroplastic surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, and reconstructive procedures
• Research experience in related surgical fields is preferred

The fellowship combines the principles of neurosurgery and plastic surgery, offering comprehensive training in areas such as microsurgery, nerve grafting, nerve transfers, facial reanimation, and brachial plexus reconstruction. Fellows gain extensive hands-on surgical experience while working in a multidisciplinary environment alongside neurosurgeons, plastic surgeons, orthopedic specialists, and oncologists.
