The Musculoskeletal Imaging & Intervention Fellowship at UC Irvine is a comprehensive one-year advanced program that provides extensive training in both diagnostic musculoskeletal radiology and image-guided interventional procedures, offering fellows exposure to a wide spectrum of conditions including oncology, sports injuries, trauma, rheumatologic, and metabolic disorders; trainees gain hands-on experience in interpreting X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and PET-CT imaging, while also performing procedures such as joint injections, aspirations, biopsies, nerve blocks, and minimally invasive tumor ablation techniques, with strong emphasis on multidisciplinary care, clinical decision-making, and patient management, along with active participation in conferences, research, and academic activities, ultimately preparing graduates for independent practice in both academic and private settings
