The program performs more than 175 free-flap procedures annually, including deep inferior epigastric perforator, profunda artery perforator, diagonal upper gracilis, lumbar artery perforator and thoracodorsal artery perforator flaps. Fellows rotate through Yale New Haven Health and participate in weekly grand rounds, monthly clinical indications and quality assurance conferences, journal clubs and research opportunities. Fellows are also provided protected time to attend the annual American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery meeting.
