Fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology

The Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship at UCSF School of Medicine, San Francisco is an ACGME-accredited 1-year post-residency fellowship program that provides advanced training in all aspects of procedural dermatology, Mohs micrographic surgery, cutaneous oncology, reconstructive dermatologic surgery, cosmetic surgery, and laser procedures. The program is offered through the UCSF Dermatologic Surgery and Laser Center and provides fellows with extensive clinical exposure, surgical experience, and opportunities for clinical research. Fellows are trained to independently manage complex skin cancers, perform Mohs surgery, develop advanced reconstruction skills, and provide comprehensive procedural dermatologic care under expert faculty supervision. The curriculum includes hands-on surgical training, didactic education, journal clubs, research activities, and teaching opportunities, preparing graduates for careers in academic and advanced clinical dermatologic surgery practice.
