Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine

1. Applicants should have completed the required prior training in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
2. Applicants with a foreign medical degree must submit educational transcripts, examination scores, and an Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate.

The UCLA Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship trains physicians to become skilled clinicians, researchers, and leaders in high-risk pregnancy care. Clinical training takes place at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica. Fellows care for pregnancies with complex maternal and fetal conditions and gain experience in high-risk obstetric clinics, continuity of patient care, and specialized clinical rotations. Research training includes clinical, epidemiological, basic science, and translational research. Fellows are encouraged to conduct a randomized controlled clinical trial and a quality improvement project. Leadership development and educational opportunities are also integral parts of the program.

1. Submit the application through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
2. Provide three letters of recommendation.
3. Upload the Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE), medical school transcripts, and United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) scores.
4. Send Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) reports directly to the program coordinator.
5. Applicants with a foreign medical degree must also submit educational transcripts, examination scores, and an ECFMG certificate.
6. Attend a mandatory interview if selected for serious consideration. Interviews are conducted virtually.
