The Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship at the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM), Chicago is an advanced, one-year subspecialty training program designed for physicians who have already completed Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine training. The program focuses on developing expertise in minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures used in the management of complex airway, lung, and pleural diseases. Fellows receive extensive hands-on training in advanced techniques such as bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), robotic bronchoscopy, airway interventions, and pleural procedures, along with exposure to multidisciplinary care for conditions like lung cancer and COPD.
