Fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Completion of accredited pulmonary and critical care training.
• Board eligible or board certified in Pulmonary Disease.
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure.
• Submission of a completed application, CV, personal statement, and letters of recommendation.
• Successful completion of interviews and credentialing.

The Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine offers comprehensive training in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic pulmonary procedures within a high-volume tertiary care center. Fellows gain hands-on experience with flexible and rigid bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, navigational bronchoscopy, airway tumor debulking, and pleural disease management. The curriculum emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration with thoracic surgery, oncology, radiology, and pathology to provide state-of-the-art care for patients with complex thoracic diseases. Fellows also participate in research, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives under the guidance of expert faculty. Through extensive procedural exposure and individualized mentorship, graduates are well prepared for careers in academic medicine and specialized interventional pulmonary practice.
