Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology

1. MD/DO or equivalent medical degree from an accredited medical school.
2. Completion of Internal Medicine residency.
3. Completion of a 3-year Cardiovascular Disease (Cardiology) fellowship before entering Interventional Cardiology training.
4. Applicants must meet Cedars-Sinai GME eligibility and California medical licensing requirements.
5. IMGs: Must meet applicable ECFMG and U.S. licensing requirements.
6. USMLE/COMLEX: Current program information requires USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK for U.S. MD and IMG applicants; DO applicants must have passed COMLEX Level 1 and Level 2.
7. Letters of recommendation: Three letters are required, including specialty/program-related recommendations.

The Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai provides advanced subspecialty training in catheter-based diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiovascular disease. Fellows receive hands-on experience in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), complex coronary interventions, structural heart procedures and other advanced interventional techniques, while working with multidisciplinary cardiovascular teams. The program also provides opportunities for clinical research, procedural planning, teaching and management of complex cardiac patients. Cedars-Sinai lists both ACGME and non-ACGME Interventional Cardiology Fellowship programs.

1. Complete Internal Medicine residency.
2. Complete a 3-year Cardiovascular Disease fellowship.
3. Prepare the ERAS application, including CV, personal statement, examination records and letters of recommendation.
4. Submit the application through ERAS.
5. The program reviews applications and selects candidates for interview.
6. Attend the virtual interview with program faculty.
7. Participate in the NRMP Main Match and submit a rank order list.
8. Complete Cedars-Sinai credentialing, licensing and onboarding requirements.
9. Begin the 1-year Interventional Cardiology Fellowship.
