Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology

1. MD or equivalent medical degree.
2. Completion of a Cardiology fellowship.
3. USMLE transcripts for all steps.
4. Three letters of recommendation, including one from the applicant's Cardiology Program Director.
5. California medical license by the fellowship start date

The Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, Los Angeles is a one-year comprehensive fellowship focused on advanced percutaneous techniques for the management of coronary, vascular, and valvular heart disease. Fellows receive supervised clinical and procedural training at Los Angeles General Medical Center, with emphasis on safe coronary and peripheral interventions, diagnostic cardiac catheterization, and the use of devices such as rotational atherectomy systems, balloons, stents, and filter devices. The program also includes didactic conferences, weekly case conferences, pre- and post-procedure patient reviews, cath conference discussions, teaching activities, and opportunities to develop the procedural skills and experience required to meet fellowship volume requirements.

3. Applications are reviewed by the fellowship program.
4. Selected applicants are invited for an interview.
5. The applicant must obtain a California medical license before the fellowship start date.
