The Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is a two-year ACGME-accredited program that provides comprehensive training in both clinical infectious diseases and scholarly inquiry. Fellows care for a diverse patient population with routine and highly complex infections across inpatient and outpatient settings. The curriculum includes extensive exposure to HIV medicine, transplant infectious diseases, infection prevention, and antimicrobial stewardship. Fellows work closely with multidisciplinary teams and participate in microbiology laboratory rotations, didactic conferences, and research projects under the guidance of accomplished faculty mentors. Opportunities for clinical, translational, and basic science research enable fellows to develop as physician-scientists and leaders in the field. Graduates are well prepared for careers in academic medicine, public health, and specialized infectious disease practice.
