Fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine

1. MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
2. Completion of an eligible ACGME-accredited residency program in a qualifying specialty for Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
3. Applicants must meet Cedars-Sinai Graduate Medical Education (GME) eligibility and credentialing requirements.
4. International medical graduates must satisfy applicable ECFMG and U.S. licensing requirements.
5. Candidates must fulfill all institutional requirements before appointment.

The Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles is a one-year advanced training program focused on providing comprehensive care to patients with serious or life-limiting illnesses. Fellows receive clinical experience in symptom management, pain and supportive care, communication, psychosocial and spiritual support, and interdisciplinary patient care. Training includes exposure to inpatient palliative care, hospice, oncology, long-term care and other clinical settings, along with opportunities for research and quality-improvement projects.

1. Submit the required Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship application and supporting documents.
2. Provide medical education, residency training, examination results and other required credentials.
3. The program reviews applications and selects candidates for interview.
4. Shortlisted applicants participate in the interview and selection process.
5. Selected candidates complete Cedars-Sinai GME credentialing, licensing and appointment requirements before beginning fellowship training.
