The Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at Keck School of Medicine of USC is a 1-year ACGME-accredited fellowship providing comprehensive, interdisciplinary training in caring for patients with serious illness across inpatient, outpatient, hospice, long-term care, and skilled nursing settings. Fellows develop expertise in pain and symptom management, advanced communication, goals-of-care discussions, ethical decision-making, advance care planning, psychosocial and spiritual care, prognostication, and hospice eligibility. The program also includes weekly didactics, case conferences, interdisciplinary team meetings, quality improvement, and opportunities for clinical research and scholarly work.
