The Hematopathology Fellowship is a 1-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship program offered by the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM), Chicago. The program provides advanced training in the diagnosis and management of hematologic diseases, including neoplastic and non-neoplastic disorders. Fellows gain comprehensive experience in bone marrow pathology, lymph node pathology, peripheral blood and body fluid analysis, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, molecular pathology, cytogenetics, and hematology laboratory techniques. The fellowship also includes multidisciplinary case discussions, teaching activities, research opportunities, and clinical diagnostic responsibilities, preparing graduates for independent practice as hematopathology specialists.
