Fellowship in Headache Medicine

The Headache Medicine Fellowship at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine is a one-year, UCNS-accredited multidisciplinary fellowship providing advanced training in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of primary and secondary headache disorders, head and face pain, and cranial neuralgias. Fellows receive hands-on clinical training primarily in outpatient neurology settings, along with rotations in Pain Psychology, Neuroradiology, Integrative Medicine, Concussion, and Dizziness clinics. The program also provides training in headache-specific procedures, including Botox injections, trigeminal and occipital nerve blocks, sphenopalatine ganglion blocks, and trigger-point injections. Fellows are encouraged to participate in clinical or basic science research and receive training in epidemiology, research design, data analysis, and clinical trial methodology.
