Overview
The Headache Medicine Fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is a one-year advanced training program dedicated to the comprehensive care of patients with headache and facial pain disorders. Fellows gain extensive experience in the evaluation and management of migraine, cluster headache, trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias, and other complex headache syndromes. The curriculum includes training in infusion therapies, nerve blocks, onabotulinumtoxinA injections, and emerging neuromodulation techniques. Fellows work closely with specialists in pain medicine, psychiatry, physical therapy, and other disciplines to provide holistic, patient-centered care. Opportunities for research, teaching, and scholarly activity are integrated throughout the fellowship year. Regular conferences and mentorship from experienced faculty foster the development of clinical expertise and leadership skills. Fellows receive a PGY-level salary according to the McGaw Medical Center stipend schedule, along with medical, dental, vision, professional liability, retirement, paid leave, and CME benefits.

Eligibility
- MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
- Completion of an accredited Neurology residency.
- Board eligible or board certified in Neurology.
- Eligible for Illinois medical licensure.
- Submission of a completed application, CV, personal statement, and letters of recommendation.
- Successful completion of interviews and credentialing requirements.
