The Hand Surgery Fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) is a one-year advanced training program focused on adult hand surgery. UTHSC is a public academic health science institution focused on medical education, healthcare, research, and professional training, with clinical education provided through affiliated hospitals and healthcare facilities. The fellowship provides extensive exposure to acute and reconstructive hand surgery, clinical evaluation, nonsurgical hand conditions, operative procedures, and postoperative care. Fellows also participate in hand surgery conferences, microsurgery education, and clinical and basic science research, with at least one research project expected to result in a presentation or publication.
