The Hand & Upper Extremity Surgical Fellowship is a one-year ACGME-accredited fellowship providing comprehensive advanced training in the evaluation, surgical management, and rehabilitation of hand, wrist, and elbow conditions. Fellows gain experience in general hand surgery, congenital and pediatric hand conditions, brachial plexus and peripheral nerve injuries, microsurgical limb reconstruction, acute upper-extremity trauma, post-traumatic reconstruction, arthroscopy, sports injuries, and arthritic conditions. Training follows a structured mentorship model across the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center and affiliated sites, including Children’s Hospital Colorado, Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center, and Denver Health Medical Center. The program also includes weekly hand and indications conferences, anatomy and surgical skills labs, journal club, research meetings, resident teaching, and completion of a research project suitable for publication or presentation.
