Fellowship in Gynecologic, Placental and Perinatal Pathology

1. Completion of an appropriate Pathology residency training program before starting the fellowship.
2. Applicants should be board eligible or board certified in Anatomic Pathology (AP) or Anatomic Pathology / Clinical Pathology (AP/CP), as applicable to the fellowship.
3. California medical licensure is required at the time of appointment.
4. Fellows must provide United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Parts 1, 2 and 3 results as part of the Cedars-Sinai fellowship documentation requirements.
5. Applicants with prior or current postgraduate training must provide verification of satisfactory completion or expected completion of that training.
6. International medical graduates must meet the applicable Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) and California licensure requirements.

The Fellowship in Gynecologic, Placental and Perinatal Pathology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center provides advanced training in the diagnosis and management of gynecologic, placental, and perinatal pathology. Fellows gain experience in evaluating a broad range of gynecologic specimens, placental examinations, and perinatal cases, while developing expertise in diagnostic techniques, ancillary testing, multidisciplinary case discussions, teaching, and research. The fellowship provides exposure to complex cases and opportunities to work closely with clinicians and other pathology subspecialists.

1. Complete and submit the Cedars-Sinai fellowship application.
2. Submit the required curriculum vitae and supporting academic documents.
3. Provide medical licensing examination documentation, including USMLE Parts 1, 2 and 3 for fellowship applicants.
4. Submit two letters of recommendation, as required under Cedars-Sinai's GME applicant policy.
5. The program reviews completed applications and selects qualified candidates for interview.
6. Final selection is subject to Cedars-Sinai's GME eligibility requirements, including verification of medical education and prior postgraduate training.
7. Before appointment, the selected fellow must satisfy California medical licensure, background-check and applicable work authorization/visa requirements.
