The Gynecologic Pathology Fellowship at UAB Heersink School of Medicine is a one-year advanced training program providing comprehensive experience in diagnostic Gynecologic Pathology and gynecologic oncology. Fellows gain progressive responsibility in reviewing and signing out routine gynecologic and complex oncology specimens, with exposure to both in-house and consultation cases. The program includes participation in the weekly Gynecologic Oncology Tumor Board, structured lectures and slide sessions, resident teaching, and opportunities for clinical or translational research. Additional experience in Perinatal and Placental Pathology may also be available for interested fellows.
