The Gynecologic Pathology Fellowship at UCSF is a 12-month, non-ACGME fellowship designed for physicians pursuing an academic career in diagnostic gynecologic pathology. Fellows receive advanced training in gynecologic oncology, HPV-related disease, reproductive health pathology, placenta accreta spectrum, fibroids, endometriosis, and complex benign and malignant gynecologic conditions. The program provides exposure to immunohistochemistry, molecular diagnostics, next-generation sequencing, digital pathology, tumor boards, and multidisciplinary conferences. Fellows also participate in clinical sign-out, intraoperative specimen evaluation, specimen grossing, resident teaching, and gynecologic pathology research, including designing and publishing a research project.
