The Gynecologic Pathology Fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine offers intensive training in the pathology of the female reproductive system within a major tertiary academic medical center. Fellows gain extensive experience evaluating surgical pathology specimens from the cervix, uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, vulva, and placenta, including both benign and malignant conditions. The curriculum emphasizes diagnostic accuracy, the use of immunohistochemistry and molecular techniques, and clinicopathologic correlation. Fellows participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate closely with gynecologic oncologists, surgeons, and radiologists. Opportunities for teaching, research, and scholarly publication are integrated throughout the fellowship year. Exposure to a high volume and broad spectrum of cases ensures the development of strong diagnostic skills and confidence. Graduates are well prepared for careers in academic pathology and specialized gynecologic pathology practice.
