The Glaucoma Fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is a one-year advanced training program designed to develop expertise in the diagnosis and management of complex glaucomatous diseases. Fellows participate in high-volume subspecialty clinics and gain extensive surgical experience in both traditional and minimally invasive glaucoma procedures. The curriculum emphasizes evidence-based patient care, mastery of diagnostic technologies, and individualized treatment planning. Fellows collaborate closely with comprehensive ophthalmologists, retina specialists, neuro-ophthalmologists, and optometrists to provide multidisciplinary care. In addition to clinical training, the program includes opportunities for research, teaching, and participation in national ophthalmology meetings. Regular conferences, journal clubs, and case discussions foster lifelong learning and academic development. Graduates are well prepared for careers in academic ophthalmology or specialized glaucoma practice.
