Fellowship in Gastrointestinal & Hepatobiliary Pathology

The Gastrointestinal & Hepatobiliary Pathology Fellowship at UCSF is a one-year advanced pathology program focused on the diagnosis of adult and pediatric gastrointestinal, liver, pancreas, and biliary tract diseases. Fellows handle a substantial consultation service involving medical and neoplastic liver disease, gastrointestinal and pancreaticobiliary pathology, and challenging cases from the liver transplant service. Training includes participation in multidisciplinary liver transplant, hepatology/gastroenterology, and pediatric gastroenterology conferences, as well as extensive exposure to digital pathology, immunohistochemistry, molecular techniques, and sequencing assays. Fellows work across UCSF clinical sites, including Moffitt, Mission Bay, and the VA, with opportunities for research and electives in areas such as endoscopy and molecular pathology.

2. Submit an updated CV
3. Submit a Personal Statement of Interest
4. Include a photograph
5. Arrange for three Letters of Recommendation to be sent directly by the recommenders and/or program coordinator
