Fellowship in Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology

The Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology (ESN) Fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School is a rigorous 2-year ACGME-accredited program focused on minimally invasive treatment of neurovascular diseases. Fellows receive multidisciplinary training with specialists from neurology, neuroradiology, and neurosurgery, gaining extensive experience in the diagnosis and endovascular management of cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations and fistulas, ischemic stroke, intracranial and extracranial atherosclerosis, vascular trauma, tumor embolization, spinal vascular disease, and pediatric neurovascular conditions. The program also provides opportunities for clinical and basic research and training across University of Minnesota Medical Center, Hennepin County Medical Center, and Fairview Southdale Hospital.

1. Prepare a CV.
2. Submit 3 letters of recommendation from faculty/mentors on signed institutional letterhead.
3. Submit a personal statement describing interest in the neuroendovascular career path.
4. Submit official USMLE or COMLEX score reports.
5. IMG applicants must submit a current ECFMG certificate.
6. Mention the applicant's current visa status, if applicable.
7. Applicants with a neurology background are encouraged to apply through ERAS for the Vascular Neurology pathway in early December.
8. Other eligible applicants may submit their application materials directly to the program administrator.
9. The application deadline is approximately 18 months before the fellowship start date.
