• MD, DO, or equivalent international medical degree.

The Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology Fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is a two-year CAST-accredited fellowship designed to prepare physicians for independent practice in neurointerventional surgery. Offered through the Department of Neurological Surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the fellowship provides comprehensive training in the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of complex cerebrovascular and spinal vascular disorders. Fellows gain extensive experience in diagnostic cerebral and spinal angiography, mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke, endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), dural arteriovenous fistulas, carotid artery disease, intracranial atherosclerotic disease, and spinal vascular malformations. The program emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration with specialists in neurosurgery, vascular neurology, neuroradiology, neurocritical care, and radiation oncology to provide comprehensive patient care. Fellows participate in advanced simulation training, multidisciplinary cerebrovascular conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical research with opportunities to publish and present at national and international scientific meetings. The fellowship also provides extensive exposure to neurocritical care, peri-procedural management, and emerging endovascular technologies. Graduates are well prepared for careers in academic neurointerventional surgery, comprehensive stroke centers, and tertiary referral hospitals.
