Fellowship in Endourology, Laparoscopy and Robotics

The Endourology, Robotic Surgery & Laparoscopy Fellowship at UCSF School of Medicine provides advanced clinical and research training in urinary stone disease, surgical endourology, minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopy, and robotic surgery. Fellows develop expertise in fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided percutaneous renal access, advanced ureteroscopy, HoLEP, and complex laparoscopic and robotic procedures. Typical fellows complete at least 200 ureteroscopy, 180 PCNL, 50 HoLEP, and 150 laparoscopic or robotic cases. The program also provides extensive opportunities in clinical, basic, translational, and device-development research, with fellows expected to publish research and present findings at scientific meetings. The fellowship is available as a 1-year primarily clinical track or a 2-year track combining clinical and dedicated research training.
