The Spine Surgery / Complex Spine Reconstruction Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is a 12-month advanced clinical training program that provides comprehensive experience in the evaluation and management of degenerative cervical and lumbar disorders as well as complex spinal pathologies, including adult and pediatric deformities, tumors, and infections. Fellows are exposed to a high surgical volume (~1400 spine cases per year) and receive hands-on training in spinal decompression, instrumentation, and advanced reconstructive techniques. Training occurs primarily at The Johns Hopkins Hospital with additional outpatient exposure, and includes multidisciplinary collaboration with orthopaedic and neurosurgical spine teams, preparing fellows for high-level academic or specialized spine practice.
