Overview

The Clinical Neuropsychology Residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine is one of the oldest and most established postdoctoral training programs in its field in the United States. Rooted in the standards of the Houston Conference Guidelines and accredited by the American Psychological Association, this two-year residency provides extensive experience in both clinical service and research. Residents engage in comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, participate in interdisciplinary clinical settings, and develop diagnostic and intervention skills in adult neurocognitive disorders. Training emphasizes didactic instruction, supervised clinical contact, and a significant research component, with residents typically seeing over 100 patients per year. Throughout the program, structured supervision, professional seminars, and individualized training plans guide progress toward advanced competency. The breadth of clinical exposure and mentorship prepares graduates for careers in hospitals, private practice, academic settings, and board certification efforts.
