The Clinical Chemistry Fellowship at UCSF School of Medicine is a two-year advanced training program focused on developing expertise in clinical laboratory medicine, particularly in clinical chemistry, toxicology, and molecular diagnostics. The program combines hands-on laboratory training with clinical and translational research, enabling fellows to gain strong skills in analytical testing, interpretation of complex laboratory results, and laboratory management. It is designed to prepare candidates for leadership roles such as clinical laboratory directors and supports eligibility for board certification in clinical chemistry, with emphasis on both scientific knowledge and real-world clinical application.
