The Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School is a 3-year ACGME-accredited fellowship providing comprehensive training in adult and pediatric cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. Fellows gain extensive operative experience in complex adult cardiac surgery, general and minimally invasive thoracic surgery, heart and lung transplantation, ventricular assist devices, endovascular procedures, structural heart interventions, congenital heart surgery, and complex aortic surgery. The program offers both Cardiothoracic and General Thoracic tracks, with progressive operative responsibility and opportunities for research and advanced surgical training.
