Fellowship in Andrology

• Hold an MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Successfully complete a 5- or 6-year accredited Urology Residency in the United States or Canada.
• Be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois.
• Submit a completed fellowship application.
• Submit a current Curriculum Vitae (CV).
• Submit a personal statement.
• Submit a copy of USMLE transcripts.
• Arrange for three letters of recommendation to be submitted directly by referees.
• Attend an interview if shortlisted.

The Fellowship in Andrology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is a one-year advanced clinical fellowship offered through the Department of Urology. The program is designed to develop future leaders in male reproductive medicine, infertility, and sexual medicine through comprehensive clinical, surgical, and academic training. Fellows receive extensive experience in evaluating and treating male infertility, erectile dysfunction, Peyronie's disease, hypogonadism, ejaculatory disorders, and other complex men's health conditions. Surgical training includes advanced microsurgical procedures such as micro-TESE, microsurgical vasectomy reversal, microsurgical varicocelectomy, penile prosthesis implantation, penile plication, plaque incision and grafting, and transurethral resection of the ejaculatory ducts. Fellows also participate in numerous office-based procedures, including sperm retrieval techniques, duplex penile ultrasound, testosterone pellet implantation, and vasectomy. The program emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration with reproductive endocrinologists and includes weekly Andrology Conferences, departmental Grand Rounds, and combined reproductive medicine conferences. Fellows are strongly encouraged to participate in clinical and translational research, present findings at national scientific meetings, and publish in peer-reviewed journals, preparing them for successful careers in academic medicine or specialised clinical practice.
