Fellowship in Advanced Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease

1. Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident (green card holder).
2. Must have completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited Pediatrics residency.
3. Must have completed a Pediatric Gastroenterology fellowship.
4. Applicants must be eligible to obtain a California Medical License.
5. Applicants should verify that their medical school is recognized by the Medical Board of California.
6. J-1 and H-1B visa holders are not accepted.
7. Selection is based on motivation for advanced Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease training, academic achievements, and letters of recommendation.

Stanford Medicine Health Care (SHC) is an academic health care system affiliated with Stanford University School of Medicine, providing advanced patient care, medical education, and research. Stanford Medicine Children’s Health offers specialized pediatric care and supports advanced training in pediatric subspecialties. The Fellowship in Advanced Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease is a one-year advanced fellowship focused on developing expertise in the diagnosis and management of complex pediatric inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and very early-onset inflammatory bowel disease. The program provides comprehensive clinical exposure through outpatient inflammatory bowel disease clinics, inpatient consultations, endoscopy, multidisciplinary care, and selected electives. Fellows also participate in research and scholarly activities while collaborating with specialists across pediatric gastroenterology, surgery, psychology, nutrition, pharmacy, immunology, and other related fields.
