Fellowship Course in Sleep Medicine

1. Valid medical degree.
2. Graduation from an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-accredited Internal Medicine Residency within the last 5 years.
3. For International Medical Graduates, a valid Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates certificate is required.
4. J-1 visa only; H visa applicants are not accepted.
5. Passing scores are required for United States Medical Licensing Examination Steps 1, 2 and 3 or Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination equivalent.

The Sleep Medicine Fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center provides multidisciplinary training in the broad field of sleep medicine, including dental sleep medicine and ear, nose and throat sleep medicine. Training is provided at the Memphis Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, with exposure to sleep disorders centers and sleep laboratories accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

2. Positions are offered through the National Resident Matching Program.
3. Submit current photograph, personal statement, medical school transcript, Medical Student Performance Evaluation, examination scores, and three letters of recommendation including the Medicine Chair.
4. Applications are reviewed and selected candidates receive interview invitations by email.
5. Interviews are generally scheduled in late August and September and are conducted virtually through Zoom.
