Fellowship Advanced Endoscopy

1. MD/DO or equivalent medical degree.
2. Completion of 3 years of prior graduate medical education, corresponding to the required Gastroenterology fellowship training.
3. Applicants must meet Cedars-Sinai GME eligibility, credentialing and licensing requirements.
4. USMLE: Step 2 CK is required for U.S. MD applicants; Step 1 and Step 2 are required for IMG applicants.
5. DO applicants: COMLEX Level 1 and Level 2, plus USMLE Step 1 and Step 2, are required according to the current listing.
6. Letters of recommendation: 3–4 letters are required, including specialty-related and program-director/department-chair recommendations.
7. IMGs: J-1 and H-1B sponsorship are listed as available, subject to program requirements.

The Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai provides specialized training in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, with emphasis on complex gastrointestinal, pancreaticobiliary and luminal diseases. Fellows gain hands-on experience with procedures such as ERCP, EUS, advanced polypectomy, endoscopic mucosal resection and other complex endoscopic interventions, while participating in multidisciplinary care, clinical conferences, teaching and research activities.

1. Complete the required Gastroenterology training.
2. Prepare the application, including CV, personal statement, examination records and letters of recommendation.
3. Submit the application through ERAS. Cedars-Sinai's program is participating in ERAS for the current cycle.
4. The program reviews applications and selects candidates for interview.
5. Attend the virtual interview if selected.
6. Participate in the Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship Matching Program and the applicable NRMP Advanced/Fellowship Match.
7. Complete Cedars-Sinai credentialing, California licensing and GME onboarding.
8. Begin the Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship.
