Fellowship Advanced Endoscopy

1. MD or equivalent medical degree
2. Completion of a standard Gastroenterology (GI) fellowship is required.
3. Applicants should have completed the required prior training in Gastroenterology/Hepatology before entering advanced endoscopy training.
4. The program is intended for physicians pursuing advanced training in therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopy.

The Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Keck School of Medicine of USC is a 1-year advanced fellowship designed for physicians who have completed a standard Gastroenterology fellowship. The program provides intensive hands-on training in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including ERCP, EUS, endoscopic resection, fistula closure, POEM, G-POEM, Z-POEM, bariatric endoscopy and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). Fellows also receive exposure to advanced imaging, research methods, meta-analysis and clinical trial design, with a focus on advanced endoscopy, gastrointestinal malignancy and pancreatology.

1. Application: Apply through the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) Match.
2. Application Period: USC begins accepting applications through ASGE in winter.
3. Interview: Interviews generally begin in spring.
4. Selection/Match: Candidates are selected through the ASGE Match process.
5. Fellowship Appointment: Selected candidates complete the required institutional and licensing requirements before starting the fellowship.
