Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Anaesthesiology

Overview

Nootan Medical College & Research Centre, Visnagar is a private medical college established under Sankalchand Patel University. The institution has obtained recent permission from the NMC to start MD Anaesthesiology as a PG course. It features a full-time three-year programme designed to train doctors in anaesthesia practices, critical care, and pain management. Students undergo both theoretical instruction and hands-on practical exposure in operating theatres, ICU, emergency units, and perioperative care settings. The faculty supervises students in clinical rotations, use of anaesthetic equipment, monitoring techniques, and managing perioperative complications. The aim is to produce competent anaesthesiologists who can ensure patient safety during surgeries, manage pain, and take care of critically ill patients.

Eligibility

• Must have completed MBBS from a recognised institution. 
• Must have completed the compulsory one-year rotating internship. 
• Must qualify in the NEET PG exam. 
• Must fulfil whatever minimum percentage/grade requirements as per category (General / Reserved) as prescribed by state/institute norms.
