Overview

Optometry deals with the visual framework and its adjoining structure. This domain centers around eye care. An optometrist is a medical care specialist equipped for diagnosing eye disease/vision issues, prescribing lenses/spectacles, performing therapy, and alluding patients to an Ophthalmologist/relevant Doctor ( if required).

An optometrist is prepared for the diagnosis of ocular diseases. However, he/she should allude the case to a qualified Doctor, if the patient requires advanced treatment and surgery. If the issue can be corrected by lenses, spectacles, or minor treatment techniques, an optometrist may take care of the patient.

Eligibility

Admission eligibility for this course is passing of 10+2 PCB/PCM.
