Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)

Overview

The DMLT program at VIAS Kolkata is a two-year diploma that prepares students for careers as medical laboratory technicians. Covering essential subjects like microbiology, hematology, biochemistry, pathology, immunology, virology, and clinical pharmacology, the course balances theory and hands-on training. Students gain practical experience with laboratory instruments, follow safety and ethical norms, and complete a six-month internship in hospitals, diagnostic centers, or labs. With support services including academic advising and career counseling, graduates can work in various healthcare settings or pursue higher education in lab sciences.

10+2 pass in any stream (science preferred but not mandatory)

Minimum 50% aggregate in 10+2
