Physiotherapy is a branch of rehabilitative medicine aimed at helping patients maintain, recover or improve their physical abilities. Physiotherapists are concerned with the remediation of impairment and disabilities, and promotion of mobility and movement potential through provisional diagnosis and physical intervention. Keeping in view the increasing demand of physiotherapy services during and post treatment phase in the medical sector, the Department of Physiotherapy was established in the year 2010 to train professionals who can render these services.
