Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship

• Completion of an ACGME-approved General Surgery residency program
• Must be board-certified or board-eligible in General Surgery
• Eligible for surgical oncology fellowship training after completion of residency
• Strong interest in complex cancer surgery and surgical oncology research
• Applicants must meet institutional requirements for medical licensure and credentialing
• International applicants must fulfill U.S. training requirements, including required certifications and visa eligibility

The Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is a 2-year ACGME-accredited advanced fellowship program designed to train future leaders in surgical oncology. The program provides comprehensive clinical and academic training in the management of complex cancer cases, with exposure to gastrointestinal/HPB oncology, colorectal surgery, breast surgery, melanoma and sarcoma, endocrine surgery, medical oncology, and radiation oncology. Fellows receive extensive operative experience, participate in multidisciplinary cancer care, and engage in clinical research and academic activities. The fellowship offers two training pathways: General/Research Track and Hepatopancreaticobiliary (HPB) Track, preparing graduates for careers in academic surgical oncology and advanced cancer surgery.
