Combined Residency in Anesthesiology and Pediatrics

The Combined Anesthesiology–Pediatrics Residency Program at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is a 5-year ACGME-accredited dual-specialty training program that integrates comprehensive education in both anesthesiology and pediatrics. The program begins with a pediatrics-focused internship, followed by balanced rotations in perioperative care, pediatric and adult anesthesia, inpatient and outpatient pediatrics, subspecialty pediatrics, critical care, and pain management. Residents gain hands-on experience at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and Children’s Center, managing complex medical and surgical cases while developing advanced clinical and procedural skills. The curriculum emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration, research, and mentorship, preparing graduates for careers in pediatric anesthesiology, pediatric critical care, academic medicine, or further subspecialty fellowship training.

6. Final selection is made through Match results (Match Day)
