The Child Neurology Residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), Memphis, is a five-year categorical program that combines two years of pediatric training with three years of specialized child neurology training. Residents receive comprehensive clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of neurological conditions affecting infants, children, and adolescents, including epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, developmental disorders, headaches, neuro-oncology, and metabolic disorders. Training includes rotations in pediatric and adult neurology, as well as exposure to electroencephalography (EEG), epilepsy monitoring, electromyography (EMG), neuroradiology, neuro-ophthalmology, neurosurgery, neuropathology, and research.
