Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship

1. Medical degree: MD, DO, or equivalent medical qualification.
2. Prior training: Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency.
3. Cardiology training: Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease fellowship before starting the program.
4. Must meet Cedars-Sinai Graduate Medical Education (GME) eligibility requirements.
5. IMGs: Must meet applicable ECFMG certification and U.S. licensing requirements.
6. Must satisfy specialty-specific board eligibility and credentialing requirements. Cedars-Sinai requires fellows to have the appropriate medical credentials and examination documentation on file.

The Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai provides comprehensive advanced training in clinical cardiovascular medicine through inpatient and outpatient experiences and exposure to a broad range of cardiology subspecialties. Fellows gain experience in the evaluation and management of complex cardiovascular conditions while developing clinical, procedural, research, and academic skills in preparation for careers in cardiovascular medicine and further subspecialty fellowship training.

1. Complete Internal Medicine residency.
2. Complete an accredited Cardiovascular Disease fellowship.
3. Prepare the required application and supporting documents.
4. Submit the application through ERAS.
5. Register for the applicable NRMP fellowship match. NRMP requires applicants to apply directly to programs as well as register for the Match.
6. The program reviews completed applications.
7. Shortlisted candidates are invited for an interview.
8. Participate in the NRMP Match and rank programs as applicable.
9. Complete Cedars-Sinai credentialing, licensing, and onboarding requirements.
10. Begin the 3-year Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship after successful appointment.
