Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship Program

1. Must have completed an accredited General Surgery residency or equivalent surgical training.
2. Must hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or equivalent medical degree.
3. Graduates of international medical schools must meet Cedars-Sinai requirements for international medical graduates.
4. Must meet applicable United States medical licensing and credentialing requirements.
5. Must satisfy Cedars-Sinai Graduate Medical Education eligibility requirements.
6. Must meet any additional requirements specified by the Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship program.

The Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is a one-year advanced training program focused on the comprehensive surgical management of breast diseases, including benign and malignant conditions. Fellows receive hands-on training in breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy, sentinel lymph node procedures, nipple-sparing mastectomy, oncoplastic surgery, and reconstructive techniques. The program also provides multidisciplinary exposure to breast imaging, medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, genetics, and plastic surgery, along with participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards, research activities, and clinical presentations.

1. Submit the required fellowship application to Cedars-Sinai.
2. Provide the required curriculum vitae, personal statement, academic records, residency information, and recommendation letters.
3. Submit applicable medical licensing and examination documentation.
4. International medical graduates must provide the required Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) documentation, where applicable.
5. The fellowship program reviews applications and shortlists eligible candidates.
6. Shortlisted candidates are invited for an interview.
7. Selected candidates complete the required Cedars-Sinai Graduate Medical Education appointment and credentialing process.
