Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Operation Theatre & Anaesthesia Technology (OTAT)

Candidates should have passed HSC or 10+2 (with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany and Zoology) of any State Board/ CBSE/ ICSE or any other examination recognized as equivalent, with minimum 45% marks in each subject.

The candidate should have completed 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission and should be aged not more than 30 years.

• The duration of B.Sc. course is 3 years plus 1 year Internship (institutional requirement) at the institution for the completion of the course.
• These courses train candidates in the field of operation theatre and anaesthesia technology. OT and Anaesthesia technicians are expected to have adequate knowledge and skills in handling various equipments that are utilized within an operation theatre. These technicians are responsible for direct and indirect patient care, equipment set up and intra- and post-operation procedures. They are trained to assist the surgeons during the procedures and assume responsibility for completion of other functions as assigned.
