Eligibility Criteria

Pass in 10+2 or Pre-University examination conducted by Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka or equivalent as recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences with English as one of the subjects and physics, chemistry and biology as optional subjects provided the candidate has secured not less than45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. (In case of SC/ST candidates the minimum is 40%).
Candidates who have passed the vocational courses of HSE, Kerala with domestic nursing and who have taken minimum of 5 subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in addition to vocational subjects are also eligible provided they have secured not less than 45% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. (In case of SC/ST candidates the minimum is 40%).

Minimum Education

Undergraduate nursing programme is broad based education within an academic framework specifically directed to the development of critical thinking skills, competencies & standards required for practice of professional nursing and midwifery as envisaged in National Health Policy 2002.
Under graduate nursing education program prepares its graduates to become exemplary citizen by adhering to code of ethics and professional conduct at all times in fulfilling personal, social and professional obligations so as to respond to national aspirations.
English shall be the medium of instruction for the course as well as for the examination.
