The B.Sc Respiratory Care Technology program prepares students to work as respiratory therapists in critical care and pulmonology departments. The curriculum includes advanced respiratory physiology, pulmonary function testing, ventilator support, airway management, neonatal and adult critical care, and emergency respiratory procedures. Students receive extensive clinical exposure in ICUs, NICUs, PICUs, and pulmonology wards where they assist in monitoring patients on life-support systems. The training also emphasizes handling diagnostic equipment like spirometers, arterial blood gas analyzers, and oxygen delivery systems. The one-year internship provides hands-on experience in managing acute respiratory failure, COPD, asthma, trauma cases, and post-operative ventilation. Graduates become essential members of critical care teams in hospitals and emergency healthcare setups.
