Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Operation Theatre & Anaesthesia Technology (OTAT)

Overview

This 4-year professional course integrates a foundational scientific curriculum (Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Pharmacology), anesthesia and OT technology theory, and extensive hands-on experience in real-world settings. Students are trained to manage and maintain anaesthesia machines, sterilization procedures, patient monitoring, and emergency readiness. Graduates are skilled to support surgical teams across various medical specialties. 

Eligibility

• Indian citizenship; age ≥ 17 years by December 31 of admission year.
• 10+2 with PCB and English—minimum 45% aggregate (40–45% reserved) 
• Final selection via merit—based on 12th exam percentage or Karnataka state entrance (e.g., KCET).
• Lateral entry into 2nd year possible for diploma holders.
