Eligibility Criteria

Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognized board.
Must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 45% (General) and 40% (SC/ST/OBC) in the qualifying examination.
Must be medically fit as per institutional requirements.
Must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission.

Minimum Education

The B.Sc. in Medical Imaging Technology at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College (BRAMC), Bangalore, is a full-time undergraduate program designed to train students in the art and science of diagnostic imaging. The course equips students with in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in handling radiological equipment, producing high-quality medical images, and assisting radiologists in diagnosing diseases.
Through a blend of academic coursework and practical hospital-based training, students gain expertise in X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, and other imaging technologies. The program emphasizes patient care, radiation safety, and the ethical aspects of diagnostic imaging.
BRAMC’s affiliation with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) ensures the curriculum meets national healthcare standards. Graduates are prepared for careers as imaging technologists in hospitals, diagnostic centres, and research facilities, or can pursue higher studies like M.Sc. in Medical Imaging or Radiology Technology.
