Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biotechnology

The candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) (with Science Subjects; Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.) conducted by the Government of Gujarat; or an examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the Executive Council/MHRD, India, subject to such conditions as may be prescribed therefore.

Biotechnology is emerging as a revolutionary field of research and development in the 21st century. Being a more practical and analytical approach to the basic principles of subjects like biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, students are given conversance of the fundamentals as well as the practical applications. The course work includes a minor research project in the last semester with the objective of enhancing the ability of students to design experiments, analyze data and understand the relevance of research for development. This programme was initiated in 2015 as a self finance course after college received its Autonomous state

Admissions for the course will be strictly on merit prepared according to percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
